Today San Pedro is a refreshingly unspoilt pueblo with an appeal all of its own. The central plaza has a gracious parish church and surrounding narrow streets which are packed with intriguing small shops, sidewalk cafes and bars. Thursday is street market day with all the hustle and bustle, a veritable bargain shopper's paradise. A pleasant walk is from the centre to the beachfront along the Avenida del Marques del Duero which is a particularly attractive wide avenue flanked by palm trees and the modern wide promenade is ideal for continuing your stroll (or skateboarding!) with several excellent chiringuitos (beach side restaurants) specializing in fish dishes.

San Pedro de Alcántara

San Pedro Alcántara est situé à Vega de San Pedro Alcántara, dans une large bande côtière délimitée par un demi-cercle de collines brisées qui l'entourent. Est de la Sierra Blanca Marbella, avec son plus haut sommet Lastonar (1270 m) d'altitude. Plus au nord de la Sierra Real ou Real del Duque; La Sierra Palmitera après quoi les sommets de la Sierra de Las Nieves et Tolox Overlook. Ouest Monte Mayor, et enfin la fermeture de la ligne de montagne Sierra Bermeja.

Ils courent sur les pentes de ces montagnes et pieds trois rivières Guadalmina, Guadaiza et Guadalmansa, et plusieurs cours d'eau qui permettent d'économiser un grand écart dans quelques kilomètres.

La limite sud est la très Costa del Sol, qui se compose d'une succession de plages, à partir de Puerto Banus, San Pedro Alcántara et enfin Guadalmina. Toutes ces plages sont parfaitement entretenus, après avoir été à San Pedro Alcántara-Guadalmina (4900 m), avec sa nouvelle promenade paysagée, reçu le drapeau bleu depuis 1993.
